Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known for her pioneering modern research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victims in court contexts. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive She has also received a number of grants and has been the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the world about policies and research relating to the treatment of children victims of the law by the system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
